Commuters advised to use MyRapid TnG cards to beat queues.

Kuala Lumpur: Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) has dismissed claims that several of its token vending machines (TVMs) at Sungai Buloh MRT stations are not working; all the machines are in good working order.

"We are indeed humbled and honoured by their overwhelming support. On behalf of Rapid Rail, which is the operator of the MRT Sungai Buloh - Kajang line, we would like to record our highest appreciation and thanks for the support," Prasarana said in a statement.

In the statement, Prasarana explained that tokens at the machines will need to be replenished; that would need some time to do it.

The statement also added that all TVMs are in good working order. It is just a case of need to replenish the tokens that had been purchased out by earlier customers. Prasarana also stated that they have a high turnout at Sungai Buloh station, and they believed that the additional commuters are coming from areas connected by KTM Komuter. They have come all the way to experience the MRT ride on this Sunday.

While acknowledging its appreciation, Prasarana had advised commuters to use the cashless mode of travel using MyRapid Touch n Go (TnG) cards, which can use all Rapid KL travel networks.

"It is not just more convenient. More importantly, it also saves commuters time for not queuing at the TVMs. So, use the cashless system." the statement added.
